OAKLANE wins Smithsignal Challenge

It's Super Bowl Sunday -- time to post the official Smithsignal Football Challenge results.

Congratulations to Oaklane for winning 158 games and having the season's highest "Win %" at 69.3%. Here is the list of winners from previous years:

• 2004 = ROCKYBOY937 with 152 wins and 67.6%
• 2005 = NANASMITH with 180 wins and 74.4%
• 2006 = ROCKYBOY937 with 155 wins and 63.8%
• 2007 = TSMITHRIO with 167 wins and 69%
• 2008 = OAKLANE with 164 wins and 68%
• 2009 = SKEEGEE with 160 wins and 71.1%
• 2010 = OAKLANE with 158 wins and 69.3%

Also, it should be noted Oaklane won a record 5 weeks this year followed by NOFLEAZE with three weekly wins.

This year's best MNF-point player was 1VIKING.

Our seventh year begins with a bang so be sure and get those picks in before Thursday's game. As always, it's free to participate. However, the pool is invite only and not open to the public. Like previous seasons, this is a "Most Wins" pool. So, the player with the most correct picks each week wins. All players will have their two lowest scoring weeks automatically dropped. MADNESS Begins

With a loud growl, March Madness begins. This year's standard tournament (open only to players in the Smithsignal.com football pool or by invite) is ready for picks with NANASMITH named the #1 seed after last year's win. The league is FREE and it's easy to fill the brackets.   Players should use last year's name and password or their football user name and password to enter picks. This year's winner will receive a gift certificate and trophy.  Since most of the football season players did not compete in the basketball pool last season, there will be no money pot. The points will increase as the rounds continue and the tiebreaker is total points for all rounds and then the Championship game point total.  All of the rules can be found on the tournamentpools Web site.
