First Day Of School

Mikayla completed her first day of PreKindergarten class and she can't wait to go back. Her first project is hanging on the refrigerator and the next one is soon to come, she says. Mikayla also says she really likes her teacher at Premier Academy and has already made several friends.  She calmed the nerves of some nervous boys to begin class and came home with some great stories.  Mom and Dad are extremely proud.

Great Guy

I rarely post anything work-related here, but this entry is an exception. All-around great guy Mark McEwen is recovering from a stroke and his primetime special aired on Local 6 this week. We decided to hold a live chat after the show -- not knowing if anyone would take part at 9 p.m. Well, 600-plus people later, my fingers and his voice are still recovering. Mark shares my love of family and never-say quit attitude…so working with him was a blast. Mark is a rockstar. Friend Tim Arnheim snapped a few photos to help me remember the night.
